Buttercups Cupcakes is hosting benefit for oil-soaked Gulf Coast
Every penny raised that day goes to America’s wetland foundation to buy plants needed for marsh restoration projects.
There's a big fundraiser going on this weekend...to benefit the oil-soaked Gulf Coast. And it was the "brain child" of a local entrepreneur. "Buttercups Cupcakes" owner Kim Wood says she's been seeing footage and hearing stories about oil-soaked animals and gulf coast beaches, and she started thinking...how can I help? So she decided to hold an event this Saturday at her store -- located in the Villaggio Shopping Center in Bossier. Her fundraiser is going on from 10 a-m to 6 p-m -- and every penny raised that day goes to America’s wetland foundation to buy plants needed for marsh restoration projects.
